Stephen Karam is an American playwright and screenwriter. His play, ''Sons of the Prophet'', a comedy-drama about a Lebanese-American family, was a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. ==Biography== Karam grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania and graduated in 2002 from Brown University. After graduation, he was an apprentice at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, where he met Arian Moayed (who is appearing in ''The Humans'') and P J Paparelli,〔Paparelli died in a car accident in Scotland in May 2015〕 who collaborated with him on ''columbinus'' and directed ''The Humans'' in Chicago.〔Soloski, Alexis.
